All of that is free, forever. Not a trial, not a teaser: the full app, with no account and no sign-up. It costs us nothing for lodos to run on your machine, so we don鈥檛 charge you for it.
The one thing that does cost us money is storing your encrypted backups and syncing them between your devices. That鈥檚 the only thing we ever ask you to pay for, and even then, we keep nothing we can read.

Is the app really free?
Yes, the complete company OS. The vault, wiki, tasks, knowledge graph and the built-in AI all run on your Mac with no account and no payment. You only pay if you want an encrypted backup synced across your devices.
Then why does sync cost money?
Because it鈥檚 the one feature that uses our infrastructure. Storing your encrypted snapshots and moving them between your devices is a real, ongoing cost for us, so that鈥檚 the part we charge for. Anything that runs locally stays free.
Can you read my synced data?
No. Everything is encrypted on your Mac before it leaves. Our servers only ever see opaque ciphertext, and the key that unlocks it never leaves your device. Not even we can decrypt it.
Do I have to pay for the AI?
Not to us. The built-in agent uses your own Claude account or key. You bring your existing login. lodos never proxies a model or charges you for tokens.
What happens if I cancel?
The app keeps working, fully local, forever. You simply stop pushing new backups to the cloud. Your data is already on your Mac, encrypted with a key only you hold.
